PHENOMENAL WOMAN

Interpretation:

A woman who is very extraordinary in the eyes of other people. She tends to be swarmed by many, unlike other girls who did many surgeries for them to be more attractive, but still not. In this poem, it states that the phenomenal woman there is very confident, because she's proud the way she is. She's proud of her uniqueness unlike others. This can also relate to those people, specifically those women who's not confidently living. As what the poem states, it is only you who can show yourself, depending on how are you going to bring it.

Interpretation:

As you've seen in the poster above, it was just people who merely washing clothes. But if we try to dig deeper, what does this really says? For me, this is a picture that depicts the reality of life. The people or the person there symbolizes you. The dirty clothes symbolizes your problems. The river symbolizes your choice on how are you going solve your problem. First, you need to separate the white from the colored shirts, that signifies on what are you going to do first. Are you letting the whites to be mixed by the colored or not? It says that, are you going to consider your problem just be it, or start solving them one by one? Next, you brushed all the stains and dirt in the shirt, that signifies your effort on solving your problem. Finally after brushing it, you rinse it in the river, that signifies on finishing and accepting it wholeheartedly. Whatever it hard  can be, you are just the only one who can really solve your own problem, and it is up to you on how are you going to accept it in the end.

Maker of copra for the Ang Gos,

Bouy for those without salvation,

Manufacturing plant of children,

Trail of typhoon Yolanda,

For all these, we still love you.

Leyte (Waray)

Isla han kawarayan,

Torre han kasakit,

Misteryo han gutom,

Bitoon han Cancabato,

Uruyasan han habagat ngan madlos,

Baluarte ni Reyna Imelda,

Koprasan han mga Ang Go,

Salbabida han mga waray salbasyon,

Hirimoan hin damo nga kabataan,

Agian han bagyo Yolanda,

Hinigugma ka pa gihapon namon.

Reflection: 

      Leyte is now a famous place, because of typhoon Yolanda. Before, it was a peaceful place, but now, even a heavy rain can traumatized many people. In this poem, it states that even how many hardships and problems does Leyte have, people who are living there, still love and believe in their own place.

Noong ako'y bata pa

Nang iwan ako ng aking ama.

Labis na paghihinayang

Hindi ko namalayan na ang mga panahon ay nasayang.

HARMFUL EFFECTS OF TECHNOLOGIES

I do believe that technology also has a harmful effect to the people and to our environment. This can make people to become lazy. Laziness can promote any unfair acts. Like for example when doing some research, in order to make it easier and faster you will just copy and paste it without reading the content. Even if technology helps us to make some works become easier, this can also teach us on how to become a dependable person. Plagiarism can also be a result of depending too much in technology. Therefore I conclude, even if technology gives a big changes to us, we must not forget that it has also disadvantages and harmful effects.

THE STORY BEHIND MAYBOG

Long ago, there was a small village bounded with bridges and this was hidden with large bamboo trees. Inside those trees, there was a simple living of the gorgeous ladies. Their simple life was distracted when a huntsman who lost his path and discovered this place. He was amazed on what he saw. Because of his startled attitude, he went back in where he belong and narrated his journey. His men were curious and felt desire to see the gorgeous ladies.

So, they went to this place and discovered love. The small and simple village became a barangay called Ma-ibog. Suddenly, it was still popular because of these pretty girls. When the Spaniards colonized the Leyte, they discovered the place what they so-called Ma-ibog. Every time they visit, they keep on asking what's the name of place was. Someone answered them, that was Ma-ibog but due to some accent problems, it was ended calling Maybog.
