ANG AKING AMA

Noong ako'y bata pa

Nang iwan ako ng aking ama.

Labis na paghihinayang

Hindi ko namalayan na ang mga panahon ay nasayang.

Sa paglipas ng panahon,

Natutunan kong bumangon

Mga payo mula sa kaibigan,

Kasabay sa pananalangin sa ating Amang nasa kalangitan.

Mahirap mang isipin

Pero kailangan kong tanggapin

Na ang ama kong malambing,

Ay wala na sa aking piling.

Maraming katanungan

Ang pumasok sa aking isipan

Kung bakit nangyari pa ang pangyayaring iyon,

Pangyayaring hindi naayon sa panahon.

Maraming pangarap ang bumagsak

Dahil ang pamilya'y nawasak.

Pero pilit na bumabangon

Hanggang sa makaahon.

Napagtanto ko

Na iyon ay di peligro

Kundi isang karanasan,

Na kailangan kong maranasan.

Maraming pagbabago ang dumating sa buhay ko

Simula nung ako'y napalayo

Paniniwala ko noon, iba na sa paniniwala ko ngayon.

Ang dating ako noon, pilit na nagbabago ngayon.

Ang buhay kasi'y sadyang mapaglaro

Hindi natin alam kong saan ito patungo

Maaring kasiyahan, kagalakan, o katuwaan

Pero dapat nating tandaan, na pwede rin tayong masaktan.

Patawad ama ko sa pagkakasala

Dahil noon isa lamang akong ultimong bata.

Pero ngayon, lumaki akong dala ang iyong payo

Na sa  kapwa at matatanda ay palaging nakayuko.

Hindi man kita kasama ngayon,

Laking pasasalamat ko pa rin sa ating Panginoon

Na ikaw ang aking naging ama

Ikaw lang at wala ng iba.

HARMFUL EFFECTS OF TECHNOLOGIES

I do believe that technology also has a harmful effect to the people and to our environment. This can make people to become lazy. Laziness can promote any unfair acts. Like for example when doing some research, in order to make it easier and faster you will just copy and paste it without reading the content. Even if technology helps us to make some works become easier, this can also teach us on how to become a dependable person. Plagiarism can also be a result of depending too much in technology. Therefore I conclude, even if technology gives a big changes to us, we must not forget that it has also disadvantages and harmful effects.

THE STORY BEHIND MAYBOG

Long ago, there was a small village bounded with bridges and this was hidden with large bamboo trees. Inside those trees, there was a simple living of the gorgeous ladies. Their simple life was distracted when a huntsman who lost his path and discovered this place. He was amazed on what he saw. Because of his startled attitude, he went back in where he belong and narrated his journey. His men were curious and felt desire to see the gorgeous ladies.

So, they went to this place and discovered love. The small and simple village became a barangay called Ma-ibog. Suddenly, it was still popular because of these pretty girls. When the Spaniards colonized the Leyte, they discovered the place what they so-called Ma-ibog. Every time they visit, they keep on asking what's the name of place was. Someone answered them, that was Ma-ibog but due to some accent problems, it was ended calling Maybog.
